Aftyn Behn

Aftyn Behn, LMSW, is the Senior Regional Organizer for Indivisible in Kentucky and Tennessee. Aftyn supports the work of Indivisible groups in building and exercising grassroots power with a focus on rural Appalachia and the South. Prior to Indivisible, she organized with the Tennessee Justice Center in 2017 during the national Medicaid and Affordable Care Act congressional fights and, in 2016, worked as a consultant with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Switzerland developing community-based protection policies for special interest refugee groups. Aftyn is from East Tennessee and received her MSW from the University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work, specializing in public policy.
