Bri Knisley

Bri Knisley is the Tennessee Campaign Coordinator for Appalachian Voices, where she's been organizing with member-owners of rural electric cooperatives since 2017. Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, her work in AppVoices' Energy Democracy program spans issues at all types of public utilities, from RECs and Munis to the federally owned Tennessee Valley Authority. For the last two years, Bri has also served as the co-chair of a regional collaborative called Advancing Equity and Opportunity in the South, which also focuses on democratizing rural electric cooperatives in the region. Bri was raised in a rural community and is passionate about advancing democracy and equity and improving quality of life in the country.
