Ciara Taylor
Ciara Taylor is a dynamic multimedia artist, song leader, and facilitator committed to using arts and culture to build community and develop leaders. As the Cultural Strategies Organizer and Educator with the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, she focuses on creating cultural resources and educational tools to challenge systemic injustice.
In 2012, Ciara co-founded Dream Defenders, a youth-led organization that emerged after the killing of Trayvon Martin. She later helped launch The People’s Forum in 2017, a working-class international movement incubator located in Hell’s Kitchen. In 2018, she co-created Songs in the Key of Resistance (SKOR), a project that amplifies the role of music in social movements.
