Emily Cowan

Emily Cowan is a recent graduate of New York University's School of Global Public Health with an MPH in Community Health Science and Practice. Her background in sociology and community organizing guides her work as a public health researcher and practitioner committed to community accountable scholarship and abolition. She is currently pursuing work in public health alternatives to criminal justice that challenge carceral models of accountability, redefine safety, center wellness, and dismantle systems of oppression.
