Jess Moore Matthews

Jess Moore Matthews is the founder and Chief Good Troublemaker at Backbone Digital Leaders, a digital marketing and organizing agency of Black women spearheading a revolution at the ballot box and beyond through digital accessibility. As a Just Tech Fellow, Jess is identifying and expanding the digital organizing technologies that make our democracy more accessible for all by privileging the voices of disabled organizers and voters. An adjunct professor at NYU and digital coach with the National Democratic Training Committee and Arena Academy, Jess's expertise comes from her leadership on several presidential and down-ballot campaigns, as well as in industries from tech to state and local government. Her activism has always empowered underestimated leaders to claim their seat at the table. She lives in Wake Forest, NC with her husband and two children.
