Nikki Cole

Nikki MG Cole is an organizer, campaign and political strategist, fundraiser, trainer, and mentor. She grew up in hospitality and worked as a host, server, and bartender for over 13 years. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park - Go Terps! She began organizing in 2009 with the Restaurant Opportunities Center of Washington DC and later became the Executive Director of DC Jobs with Justice, where she led campaigns to advance workers rights including paid sick days,  increased minimum wages, fair hours and scheduling, access to health care, sexual-harassment free workplaces, and more. Between the fall of 2019 and spring 2021, Nikki served as the National Policy Campaign Director of One Fair Wage - a new, national organization dedicated to eliminating the sub-minimum wage for all workers across the nation.  Nikki has organized 85 grassroots candidates to run for public office between 2016 and now in the Washington DC area, and is excited to continue building progressive people and political power locally and nationally.  Nikki currently lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with her husband and daughter.
