Tamani Simmons

Tamani Simmons is a research apprentice at Jobs to Move America. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2019 from Alabama A&M University, majoring in Urban and Regional Planning with a minor in Political Science. Prior to joining JMA, she gained experience in advocacy and solidarity through The Toyota Green initiative which aimed to bring the local community together to find better ways to connect people to education and jobs, as well as expanding the usage of zero or low emissions vehicles. Her current research focuses on transparency around business and economic development in the southern US.
