Xaver Kandler

Xaver is the Lead Coalition Organizer for NY Renews, a climate justice coalition of over 300 environmental justice organizers, environmental groups, labor unions, and multi-issue community groups. Based in New York City, he focuses on campaign strategy, coordinating statewide actions, and building transformational partnerships within and outside of the coalition. Prior to joining NY Renews, Xaver was the Campaigns Associate for Environmental Advocates NY, a steering committee member of the coalition. He has a degree from Bard College in Urban and Environmental Studies with a dual focus on public policy and environmental justice. When not organizing, he can be found playing ultimate frisbee and bird watching with loved ones.
