Anthony Thigpenn

Anthony Thigpenn is President of California Calls, a statewide alliance of local organizations working on building power to achieve deep structural change around economic and social justice issues. He is currently involved in the Schools and Communities First campaign, an effort to restore $12 billion a year to California schools and communities by closing commercial property tax loopholes used by corporations and wealthy investors to avoid paying their fair share of property taxes. The initiative, which will be on the California ballot in November, amends Proposition 13, a law passed by California voters in 1978.
