Alisa Gallo

Alisa Gallo has been organizing for social, environmental, and economic justice since high school.  Since 1994, she has done paid organizing with workers and employers in all the hospitality industry (hotels, gaming, airports and food service).

She has directly participated in the unionization of many thousands of workers, particularly in the US South and Southwest. In 2017 and 2018, she coordinated a national campaign to organize the last non-union group of frontline United Airlines workers –- winning an election for nearly 3,000 people in 5 kitchens across North America.

In 2019, she became UNITE HERE’s Director of Organizing and Development.  Alisa takes special pride in the work she has done to train and develop rank and filers and staff organizers. She recently relocated to Texas.
