Stuart Katzenberg

Stuart Katzenberg is the Director of Collective Bargaining and Growth Strategies at AFSCME Council 3, the largest and fastest growing union for State and University workers in Maryland. At Council 3 for ten years, Stuart has helped stabilize locals, win new organizing campaigns, stop the hiring of contractual workers at higher education institutions and won legislative victories to cease at-will employment for salaried employees. Before becoming a labor organizer Stuart worked at ACORN for ten years in Maryland, DC, and Ohio, where he built local neighborhood, city, and state chapters. Stuart's work with ACORN included organizing childcare workers associations, campaigns against paint companies responsible for lead poisoning, campaigns against banks and landlords as well as successful city and state ballot measures in Baltimore and Ohio, respectively.
